I attempted to make a urethane mold of my katana endcap – however, it didn’t work out so well. The urethane didn’t coat the base of the endcap well enough, so those details separated from the rest when I attempted to remove the foam endcap from the mold. And, naturally, the foam version was destroyed in the removal process.
So, time to make another endcap! And figure out a better way of making the mold, since I think the idea is sound, even if it failed in the execution this time.
